After a “Histoire de la conscience européenne” (History of European Conscience) printed by the Salvator publishing house in 2016, the Collège des Bernardins, which has teamed up with the European Parliament for this new project, is keen to popularise this account and expand it through a website in several languages. The European Parliament is overseeing implementation of the project which is benefiting from expert input by Collège des Bernardins historians.
It is a question of focusing not only on European intellectuals but also on secondary and high schools in order to propose intersecting views on the eminent figures, major events and key benefits of European culture. The aim is also to involve the students and all interested European citizens.
