Hymnes et Drapeaux de l’Union européenne
The Jacques Delors Institute published a Study (led by P.R. Cloet) called United in Diversity: Anthems and Flags of the European Union (Studies & Reports No. 102, Jacques Delors Institute, December 2013), along with individual country data sheets explaining the origin and history of the anthems and flags of the EU and its 28 Member States. With its network of partners throughout Europe, the Institute wishes to take advantage of not only the celebration of thirty years of the European flag and anthem, inaugurated by J. Delors on 29 May 1986, but also the Eurovision Song Contest, the European Football Championships, the Olympic Games and diverse cultural and sporting events across all of Europe by releasing this explanatory aid designed to appeal to the general public, and young people in particular.
